Vera Bradley Bags?

Discount Vera Bradley Bags?

Discount Vera Bradley Bags are hard to find, especially since they are the latest craze for handbags, wallets, luggage and purses. Why? Well, basically, long story short, in the early 1980's, a girl named Barbara Bradley Baekgaard was bored out her mind in an airport.  Let's just call her "Babs", ok?  ;-)  Her plane was delayed and she had nothing better to do than to people watch.

As she sat there staring at the luggage carousel -- she may have been twiddling her thumbs, who knows? Don't ask me, I wasn't there! :-) -- she noticed how gawd awful the luggage was for women. I mean, c'mon -- we're talking Samsonite hard plastic luggage that could be used as body armor! Absolutely hideous stuff, but this was all that was available for women at the time.

So, enter the entrepreneurial mischievous dear friend, Patricia Miller, who was like, "Ok Babs, enough with the small talk... lets make some bags baby and sell them to everyone! We'll be the talk of town... we'll be famous... we'll be RICH... and best of all we get to have them FOR FREE!"

So Babs was like, "You got an idea there Patty Melt!  Let's do it to it and rock this town tonight!" And they drove off with the "Stray Cats" buzzing in the background.

Fast forward to now -- a little bit older, a little bit heavier but a whole lot RICHER! Yes, those two kids grew up fast and never looked back.  Did all of this really happen?  Well, who knows -- why are you asking me? You act like I was there -- I was only two years old at the time people!  Please keep up with me! :-)  Anyway, this is how I imagine it happened.  Oh sure, I could have said:

"In 1982, a graduate of Marymount College named Barbara Bradley Baekgaard sat in an airport noticing how luggage lacked a certain "feminine appeal." It was at that moment when she teamed up with friend, Patricia Miller, and founded a company that would launch some of the hippest, most attractive bags on the market today... Vera Bradley Designs, Inc., or as the rest of us like to refer to them simply as VERA BRADLEY BAGS."

But I like my version a little better.  It's more colorful, kinda like her bags, ya know? :-)  Anyway, they created a successful company that now designs the latest and hippest bags money can buy.  With so many colors to choose from, styles and patterns, you're sure to find something you like! The best part is that their bags are extremely affordable, durable and machine washable.  And in this current economic times, what more can you ask for? So shop til drop ladies -- and get your Discount Vera Bradley Bags today!

Retired Vera?

Is She Retiring?

Helloooooo people!  Wake up and smell the JAVA BLUE juice! :-) Vera Bradley Bags owner (Babs) didn't retire. Retired Vera is short for Retired Vera Bradley Bags, which means that some of her bags, styles and patterns have been retired. A Couple of times per year, the company releases new styles and colors, usually in January for the Spring and Summer fashions and the other time is around June or July, for the Fall - Winter season collection.

Now, during this time, some of the older colors and patterns go bye-bye to make room for the newer designs. When this occurs, this sometimes causes a frenzy because those styles will no longer be produced, thereby setting off a chain reaction, whereby Retired Vera Bradley Bags are the rage and become hot in demand.  As I'm sure you can imagine, if the retired color or style was a hot commodity in its prime and is still saught after, the prices of the bags get inflated... and sometimes by a lot! But fear not, because this is why we scour the web for you -- to find you Discount Vera Bradley Bags so you don't have to.  :-)

So, what's the best thing to do when all of this occurs and how can you avoid it?  Well, duh!  Go out and buy yourself a new bag BEFORE they retire and just up and disappear.  :-) You'll be glad you did.
